    • Monday 3/17 Arrive in Riverside and check in to the Mission Inn
      Optional group dinner at the hotel restaurant, ~6:30pm
    • Tuesday 3/18 Meeting 8:30am-5:00pm
      USDA Salinity Lab Conference Room (4 mi from Mission Inn)
      Tour of Ag Ops at UC Riverside
      Group dinner at a local restaurant following the meeting, ~6:00pm
    • Wednesday 3/19 Mini Agricultural Tour of Palm Desert
      Charter bus leaves Mission Inn at 8:00am
      Return to hotel

Booking Instructions

      • Rate applies to single or double rooms Monday March 17 – Thursday March 20
      • If you would like to upgrade your room or extend your stay beyond the group block, please contact Karla kaavila@ucdavis.edu and she will arrange with the sales team for you to get the same rate.

 Transportation

    • The local airport is Ontario (ONT)
    • From Airport to Hotel:  Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) and SuperShuttle
    • Rental cars will only be reimbursed if pre-arranged with the Western Region Field Office
    • Parking at the hotel is $30/night
    • We will provide van transportation from the hotel to the meeting at the Salinity Lab and a bus for the tour

Reimbursement for Travel Expenses

      • The Western Region IR-4 will reimburse registration, transportation, hotel and meal costs (for meals not provided) for SLR members and those CLC members in need of support
      • Travel guidelines and reimbursement forms
      • Hotel will be reimbursed for 3/17 – 3/20.  If travel needs to be extended, please contact Kari Arnold prior to reserving.

Meals

    • We will provide all meals from Monday evening dinner through Wednesday dinner as well as snacks and drinks.  Dietary restrictions can be communicated in the registration for the meeting.
    • One guest may join you for Monday and Tuesday evening dinners and the entire tour including lunch and dinner.  Other meals are provided for meeting participants only.
